We've been stopping by The Basket Shop for decades, since we were kids growing up in Connecticut. It's a good resting point if you're heading through Gaylordsville, CT, on your way to Litchfield County or the Berkshires, or on the way back down to southern CT or New York. Ice cream, drinks, maple syrup, maple sugar candy, things for the home, and, of course, baskets, all reasonably priced. A few years ago they added The Carriage Barn next door which has a lot more home items and a good variety of different types of candles.
