The selection is very good for a supermarket it's size. The sales are excellent, especially the managers specials. My one concern is that many of the staff do not know where items are if they are not present in their own departments. This is including related item such as prepackaged cheese and prepackaged deli meats, which are in different parts of the store. This is a minor concern compared to the overall store.
Very nice staff and clean store. The fried seafood, pizza, and grinder counters are great! The cafe area makes it easy to grab a meal.

This Big Y is probably one of the best places to get groceries in New Milford. The store is very clean, big, and everything is easy to find. Staff are friendlier than Stop & Shop, but prices are a bit higher. Their bakery is great, and their store prepared foods like pizza are excellent. Everything seems fresh, and nothing is expired, although produce can be lacking at times. We love the silver and gold coins, and sales are pretty good. The only problems are that there are no self checkouts, which I prefer. Overall, a fine place to get groceries.
Love the big Y. I've been shopping at this locale for 30 years in all 3 of its incarnations. The big Y crew for the most part have always been polite and helpful( there are always a few bad apples). Those that aren't seem to move on. The store is clean and well stocked. The managers know me I'm there so often which makes it feel more like home.
