Carey
The final night of my stay had extra noise, as an angry couple had rented the room next to me and argued all night. I checked out as soon as I could Monday morning.
Angry impolite owner sent us to 2 smoking rooms when they should be non smoking. After I complained and wanted a refund he finally found us a nicer room. Very dirty and stinky rooms.
Great pricw. Typical hotel
When I arrived, the room smelled like cigarettes and the furniture had burn marks. The room faced the surprisingly busy highway 7 and would be noisy app night. In time, I discovered that the toilet did not flush properly. Instead it would fill up with water then slowly drain, ensuring anything floating on top of the water would stay there for days.
On Sunday, I returned from the wedding to find my room key didn't work. Assuming it was just a dead key, I went to the front desk to get it turned back on like I've done at numerous hotels. Instead, the woman at the front desk (who appeared to be the previous man's wife) told me I had only paid for three nights. When I insisted that I had reserved and specified that I needed the room through Monday, the man from the first night came out and continued to insist that I had only paid for 3 nights, citing the total amount that I had paid. Since the receipt only shows the total amount paid with no break down of the charges, I had no way to debate the fact that I had asked for 4 nights and was forced to pay for an additional night to even get back into the room to retrieve my belongings. Comparing the original and new receipts, there was a clear discrepancy in the rates.
It's cheap but not worth the "value." Located on a noisy highway with paper thin walls, you will hear every car and neighbor. Shady operations at the front desk. Would definitely not stay again.
I had made my reservation almost 2 months prior to my trip for a Thursday through the following Monday to go to a wedding. At check in, the man working the office asked me to show him the reservation email on my phone ONLY so he could look at what rate I had booked per night. He never looked up my reservation himself, and promptly asked if I was staying for 3 nights. I told him no and that I needed the room through Monday, which was 4 nights. He rang me up and I went to my room.
Long version:
This hotel should be ripped down. My room had spiderwebs and spiders outside of door. TV didn't work bathroom reeked of marijuana and general room smelled musty and moldy. I immediately requested my money back after seeing the room. My mothers and stepfathers room was even worse. Blood stain on mattress room the smell of the room was hideous and also the tv was no where near the bed. Not a very safe or cozy place to be especially if you have kids. The guy behind the desk had a bit of an attitude. We ended up driving to a Ramada in near Fishkill. I paid more for that room but better than this slumhole
I was very disappointed! I reserved a king smoking room. What happened was I was first sent to a dirty room with someone's stuff still in it. Instead of an upgrade I was put in a room with two twins and the bathroom was still under construction. Plus there was no clean towels or extra toilet paper, at least they could've put a new role. Would Not recommend to anyone and don't plan on ever going back.
